In the initial phases of the IVF process, ORH uses a Nuvaring. From the second day on the Nuvaring, I felt an intense sour discomfort in my stomach or general malaise (or both) all day. I also gained almost 20 lbs in the 2.5 weeks I wore it without adjusting anything else, so I was pretty darn uncomfortable. I called the clinic to ask about alternatives to the ring and spoke with a very lovely CNA who offered me the pill, which I told her I was uncomfortable going on and asked if there were any other options. I was then transferred to a nurse (I believe her name was Jo), who I thought might have some tricks up her sleeve to relieve my discomfort since I assume I am not the only person this has ever happened to or have alternative options. Instead, she told me condescendingly: "This is the process. Step 1 you go on birth control. If you don't do step 1, you can't do IVF." She said some other unnecessary things to make her point clear in the same tone. Regardless, it was highly unprofessional and rude. You would think that people in this particular line of work would be compassionate, professional, and willing to help their clients at this delicate and complicated time of their lives. Versus the attitude of "get back in line and do what you're told." If you are looking for any sort of a holistic approach, this is not the place. Our experience made us realize we were on the wrong path. We decided the fertility world was not for us and to keep trying on our own, and we are now pregnant! So don't lose hope! Just keep trying! It may just take a little longer like it did for us.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had the best experience at this clinic after coming from a clinic where I had two failed transfers and no preliminary testing done. Dr. Johnson and his team is amazing. They do everything they can to make sure you have success. It is not a one size fits all approach and they make you go through every test they can in order for you to have a take home baby. They are very on it in their communication as well and make it very clear what you are supposed to do and when. There was also regular communication with the head doctor, Dr. Johnson, throughout the process which wasn't the case with our previous clinic. My husband and I couldn't be happier with them. We welcomed my baby boy this past October and he has been such a blessing and it is all because of ORH. Thank you ORH for everything you do for families!

3/4/2025: I would not recommend overlake for outside monitoring appointments. I've gone there for 2 sets of appointments now and both times my results are not sent on time resulting in delayed start of my stims. Furthermore they often have maintenance work going on because of which blood test is either incomplete or delayed defeating the purpose of ivf needs that are time sensitive. To top it all when I spoke to the lab about my missing lab test they pushed back that they cannot speak to me about my results and I should contact my clinic and they are aware. I called my clinic they have no information from overlake. I called overlake back and they said oh we didn't run that test because our machine is down. What the hell. So why did the lady prior to her lie to me and made excuses that she can't talk to me about my results when the problem actually was their machine was not working. The experience was totally disappointing and not worth the headache UPDATE 3/5/25: I received a call from Julie within 24 hours of sharing my concern. She listened to my feedback without becoming defensive and understood my concerns regarding timely result delivery. She waived my balance due to the missing results and is addressing the communication issues with the laboratory. Julie's professional communication and commitment to improvement impressed me. I understand this is Overlake's first quarter supporting monitoring appointments, so some adjustment period is expected. I appreciate the positive mindset toward improving services. Thank you, Julie!

We had a great experience with Overlake Reproductive and are now expecting our first child in October. Be wary of the negative reviews here just reading through some of them it is honestly comical as this was never my experience with Overlake. They are professional, quick to find resolutions to setbacks that they or your own body have no control over. They are cautious with your embryos and want to make sure everything is as perfect as possible for transfers which we appreciated and clearly works as ours wa a successful round 1. I have friends who have gone to SRM and this was NOT their experience at all. We genuinely appreciate the time and energy of the Overlake team and are beyond excited for our new family member. If you appreciate a smaller clinic with great success results look no further than ORC.

I have a year and half fertility journey with overlake reproductive health. We are so grateful and lucky to welcome our first baby girl in mid October with the help of everyone in the clinic. The nurse practitioners, doctors in the clinic are professional, responsive and knowledgeable. My overall experience here is positive and emotional as well. I have some objective thoughts about IVF. IVF is stressful for sure. So many injections, medications, and different procedures, and maybe, in the end, there might still not be a good result. This is frustrating to everyone. Although it is a well-established technology, it is still constantly evolving. New clinical data may overturn some old theories. In my own experience, my first embryo transfer failed, and I have only one embryo left. So we did the ERA test and some other tests to rule out some complications. It turned out that I need one more day of progesterone injection before the transfer. I did research online, the latest study shows that ERA is not proved to be effective to resolve implantation failure issue. Some clinics are no longer offering ERA test any more. But for my own experience, ERA did worked. Strictly speaking, it might have been the ERA that made a difference, or maybe something else worked in the end. I am not sure which one clicked, sometimes we just have to try many times before getting a positive result, and sometimes we may just need an extra bit of luck??? I have some conversations with folks in the clinic, I can tell that everyone is so happy to see their patient eventually getting pregnant. They are also thrilled to expect each new life. I think what they are sharing is genuine, which helps me build trust with this clinic during this whole time. Anyway, my overall experience at here is positive. Doctors and nurses practitioners are professional, skillful and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Jo, she is trustworthy and professional, she helps me a lot with my anxiety during this whole time. I am so grateful!
