Can't ever get this place to call you back. Truly. To make an appointment, get an update. It's wild that they are still in business with such poor customer service. The Doctor that I had was wonderful, but I could never get a hold of her or her team to make an appointment--most of my friends had the same experience. Hard pass.

I regret getting services provided through Boston IVF. I was there to support my partner through procedures to potentially preserve fertility before she goes into chemo, and to get a sperm analysis to see about my role in the process (in case we wanted to try for freezing embryos). My partner was given prior notice of costs for her treatments which would be uncovered, and specifically consented to and paid for them beforehand. I was re-assured several times, after my insurance had been provided and presumably reviewed multiple times, that my services would be covered by my insurance. Then the bills came, surprise! Lesson learned, don't trust Boston IVF's word, you always have to check with your insurance. Boston IVF staff as a whole seem mostly concerned with saying whatever makes you feel comfortable moving forward so they can crank through as many patients as possible for maximum revenue. And there is not consistency between patients on information regarding upcoming costs. That being said, there were a few individual staff in there who were kind, informative, and helped to try and support some of us through the oncofertility program. One staff member, Heidi, did what she could to help us keep medicine costs down and she is an angel. Really went above and beyond. Two stars instead of one simply because that woman is doing great work.

I used the South Portland, Maine office for most of my visits. Small, lovely location with amazing staff. I had to go to the Waltham, MA office once, my husband had to go twice, and our experience there was the same. A much bigger location, but the staff were great. HUGE shoutout to Christian who guided me through each and every step via email. She answered all my insane and persistent questions with kindness! Here in southern Maine there are limited options for IVF services, and certainly even more limited for donor egg IVF, but no need to compare - Boston IVF will help! I couldn’t believer just how fast the process we had to go through was done. October we started paperwork, January made the payment, March 1 was transfer day! (Then I had our baby in November!) *note: we got lucky it worked on cycle 1.

I would choose Boston IVF a million times over. I have two wonderful, thriving children because of Boston IVF and their incredible doctors, nurses, and staff. Everyone was knowledgeable, efficient, trustworthy, open, honest, and transparent throughout our entire journey. When you think there is no hope, they show you the way. When you think time is up, they remind you that the clock is still ticking. They gave us not just exceptional medical care, but hope, compassion, and unwavering support during one of the most emotional times of our lives. We will forever be grateful for the role Boston IVF played in building our family.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! My experience with Boston IVF was an absolute NIGHTMARE, primarily due to their unethical and aggressive billing department. After completing treatment, I started receiving bills for charges that seemed completely unfounded – storage fees for embryos that I was told would be disposed of, and amounts that didn't match any services I authorized or received. When I questioned these charges and requested itemized explanations, communication was evasive, and responses were slow or nonexistent. Despite making payments, I later discovered that some had not been properly applied to my account, leading to escalating fees. Then came the threats: repeated calls and letters pushing the "debt" to collections, even though disputes were ongoing and many charges appeared erroneous or unauthorized. It felt like outright bullying. How many times do I need to call and cancel services, drop off a letter and send an email. IVF is stressful enough without a clinic adding financial harassment on top of it. Boston IVF's billing practices seem designed to overcharge and intimidate patients into paying disputed amounts quickly. I strongly advise anyone considering this clinic to look elsewhere as there are better options that treat patients with respect and transparency. Save yourself the headache and potential credit damage
