Let me start off by saying, we were referred to shady grove by my obgyn and I almost skipped my first appointment because I always heard how expensive IVF is. I went into the appointment thinking that the visit was a waste of time, by my surprise Dr. Crochet let us know that it was actually covered by our insurance (newly married/new insurance) what a surprise! We just graduated from shady grove (pregnancy success!) but every visit since that amazing first one has been awesome. My husband and I really felt like Dr. Crochet really cared about us as people, and took the time to get to know us a little bit. Brooke is also an amazing nurse. Every time she would call to give us updates, she was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I probably saw Bo, the sonographer the most and she’s also so sweet and took great photos for us. I’ll always recommend this place to anyone who’s about to start their fertility journey.

Just started my journey with these guys and so far it has been great. Alexis and Brianna at the front desk are so friendly and we loved our initial visit with Dr. Crochet and Marissa. Will update after a few more visits.

My experience with this clinic makes me feel like all they care about is money. The first time I went in, I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. I was told that there was an emergency during a procedure, and that the doctor was delayed. No problem - I completely understood and agreed that an emergency comes first. Once in, the doctor took all of ten minutes to meet with me and ordered a few labs/tests to get an overview of my reproductive health. Prior to having any labs or tests done, I spoke with the staff at length about how much I should expect my out-of-pocket costs to be. They assured me that my insurance company should cover most of the tests and that I would be left with no more than a couple-hundred dollars out of pocket. The next week, I go in for an HSG test and have an abnormal reaction that causes me to black out. The staff was very helpful and made sure I was okay before leaving. However, no doctor even bothered to come and check on me, nor did anyone call to check in afterwards... But they DID call to see if I would be coming back for my labs. A few days later, I returned for my lab draws. I asked to speak with my Dr, since she was in-office and since I had almost passed out at my last visit, and they told me that I would need to schedule an appointment in order to speak with her. Fast forward to the follow up appointment, I once again wait over 30 minutes to be seen. Upon speaking with the doctor, she apologizes and says that she wasn't even notified by her staff that I had asked to speak with her. Nor did she know that I was on the verge of losing consciousness in her office. To top it off, they lost the x-ray image that I went through so much pain to get! So I was left with no record or image to take with me elsewhere. The last straw was when I received a bill in the mail for $1,100 for the test that was only supposed to cost me a "couple-hundred dollars." While the doctors may be knowledgeable, their priorities certainly don't seem in the right place. I want a doctor who cares about me and my journey -- not just my pocketbook.

Tiffany the ultrasound technician was amazing and explained everything that she was measuring. Gina the lab technician is always quick, easy and painless on the blood draws. Everyone in the office is personable and friendly. Dr. Schnell is kind and compassionate, very knowledgeable and will go out of her way to check in on you. This has been a great experience.
