The staff at SGF is incredibly friendly. Dr. Lersten was wonderful—compassionate, attentive, and thorough in answering all of our questions. The phlebotomists were also extremely kind and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable during blood draws, and the process was nearly painless.

My experience was incredibly unpleasant from the start.When I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist was rude and questioned why I needed to be seen, which felt very inappropriate and unnecessary when she doesn’t know much about my case. While I had my appointment with Dr. Ivy she had dismissed my history and concerns regarding endometriosis. Despite my symptoms and prior experiences, and ongoing management my concerns were immensely minimized with comments such as “it’s not that bad,” “ you’ll be fine right?” As I have tears shedding down my face which felt invalidating and discouraging. As a patient seeking care and guidance, I did not feel heard, supported, or taken seriously. This experience was deeply upsetting and has impacted my trust in the care provided by your practice. I believe patients deserve to be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism at every step of their care.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Lersten and her team at Shady Grove. Dr. Lersten was amazing—she was upfront and transparent about every step of the process and took the time to explain everything clearly. During what can be such an emotional and overwhelming journey, her clarity and honesty gave us so much confidence and peace of mind. Her nurse, Caitlyn, was equally incredible. She was always responsive, communicated clearly, and made sure we never felt left in the dark. Every question we had was answered promptly, and we truly felt supported the entire time. Every nurse, medical assistant, and sonographer I encountered was professional, informative, and compassionate. I truly could not have asked for a better team. Becoming pregnant through this process has been such a blessing, and I am deeply grateful for everyone who played a role in this journey.
