I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shady Grove Fertility's Arlington, Virginia office. From the very first phone call to every single appointment, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly cared for — and that made all the difference during what can be such an emotionally charged journey. Dr. Nair is absolutely phenomenal. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and takes the time to explain every step of the process with patience and clarity. She never made me feel rushed, always answered my questions with warmth and honesty, and genuinely made me feel like I was her top priority. Her compassion and expertise gave me so much confidence and peace of mind throughout my treatment. I am so grateful to have had her as my physician. The front desk staff deserves just as much praise. Every time I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile and by name. Scheduling, paperwork, insurance questions — they handled everything efficiently and with such a kind, can-do attitude. It's clear they understand how stressful this process can be, and they go out of their way to make it as smooth as possible. And the lab team — these amazing women are true heroes. Blood draws before my coffee, always with a cheerful word and a gentle touch. They are fast, skilled, and so incredibly warm. I honestly started looking forward to seeing them every morning. Every single person at this office — nurses, coordinators, medical assistants, everyone — contributes to an environment that feels more like family than a clinic. They celebrate your wins with you and lift you up on the hard days. 5 STARS ***** Dr. Malik and the entire staff at SGF including the nurses, front desk, and lab techs went above and beyond to support my husband and I throughout our IVF journey. Collectively, they fostered an environment that made our journey the most uplifting experience it could be, even when we felt hopeless at times. Although the doctors at SGF are in high-demand, Dr. Malik always made time to speak/see me and never made me feel like I was a burden (even when I was constantly bombarding her and the nurses with questions). She is by far the most caring and genuinely kind-hearted doctor I have ever had, also not to mention extremely knowledgable. She was open to ideas and never made me feel like there was only one avenue of options. I would highly recommend her to anybody looking into fertility treatment. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

I'm at the beginning of my journey, but SGF has been nothing but professional and helpful through every step of the process. Dr. Nair is incredibly personable, and patient to all of my questions. Her coordinator, Bree, is a wonderful addition to her team. Bree has been responsive to each message I have sent, and worked with me to meet a quick turnaround on short notice. Highly recommend if you want a thorough team with great bedside manner.

My husband and I scheduled a consultation with Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Reh because we wanted to proactively gather information as we think about starting a family in the near future (aiming to get ahead regarding some health concerns / histories we have on both sides). Instead of feeling welcomed or supported, we left feeling judged and disheartened. From the start, the tone of the appointment felt dismissive. We were essentially made to feel as though we shouldn’t have come in yet, even though our goal was simply to educate ourselves and get ahead of important information. Several of our questions were brushed off or made to feel small rather than addressed with empathy or clarity. The information that was provided felt confusing and disorganized. We left without a clear understanding of next steps or what we should actually be thinking about moving forward. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere in the office didn’t help. Staff interactions felt curt and disengaged, as if helping patients was an inconvenience rather than the purpose of the clinic. Several questions were met with a "I don't deal with that" or "you'd have to talk to someone else" without a clear pathway on who to get answers from or how to move forward. Honestly, the individuals working the front desk were the only enjoyable members of the staff we encountered. Fertility care is an incredibly sensitive and vulnerable area of healthcare. Patients should feel supported, respected, and informed, especially during an initial consultation. That was not our experience here.
