The good: I've had mostly positive experiences with their customers service and they've always been available to answer my questions. Their prices are competitive, although frozen sperm is way over priced in general. The home insemination kit comes with everything needed (except for the thermometer) and the instructions are simple and easy to understand. The bad: There are not as many donors as I expected. Most donors are carriers for genetic disorders and it was frustrating to find a donor who wasn't a carrier for something serious. And finally, Seattle Sperm Bank requires you to provide a doctor's note and signature before they will sell you sperm. This was a major hurdle for us and an unnecessary one. It makes using donor sperm less accessible for some people for no reason and that is unacceptable to me, and the reason for two stars. Overall, I will continue to do business with SPB but if I were just getting started I would consider other options. Edited to reply to business owner: Thank you for taking the time to respond thoroughly to the concerns I listed. I agree with your response regarding the genetic testing and therefore genetic carrier results of the donors. I would prefer to know the data on the donors to help guide my decision. Having said that, it was still very difficult to find a donor who was not a carrier for something serious. This is not SPB's fault. Regarding your response to my concern about the unnecessary doctor's permission prior to trying to conceive, I'm not at all convinced of your reasoning of "this requirement helps to ensure safe handling and proper guidance for clients who may not be receiving active clinical oversight" The requirement of having to get these forms signed by a doctor does not indicate that said doctor is providing guidance, especially if it's a one off online doctor who is merely being paid for their signature. By your reasoning, couples who are trying to conceive naturally should also get a doctor's note and signature before having sex. This is ridiculous. Clearly, your requirement of the doctor's signed form is more about protecting your business if something goes wrong and a client tries to sue your company. A client's signature alone should be enough for that. I hope you reconsider your policy so individuals trying to conceive with donor sperm have easier access to what they need. Thank you. Update: I'm upgrading my rating to reflect the ongoing positive customer service I've consistently received.

I have had nothing but issues trying to order my vials with the same donor as I have had my son with. I have been dealing with Manny for over a week now and have not gotten anywhere. First was waiting on documents to be sent through which refused to do until an order was completed, however I kept explaining that my clinic couldn't accept this donor until they went through the documents! This still was not done. I had to get my old clinic to send it through! THEN once its sent all through and approved i ask fkr the money to be taken out so kt can be shipped ASAP and now i am getting no response at all! I have already wasted so much time with this and now having it delayed even more unnecessarily! I am beyond frustrated and not happy at all with this lastest experience with Manny

I want to send a huge thank you to Seattle Sperm Bank. They made the whole process of purchasing supply super easy, as they worked directly with my fertility clinic. They offer plenty of information when picking a donor. Their online and phone purchasing processes are easy to navigate and their customer service is very friendly! Thanks to them, I was able to have my first daughter yesterday, 6/2. Shes absolutely perfect.

I was given 3 places to choose sperm from and this one was best imo. The reason they were best was they did a verbal interview with each man and they asked questions. Specifically they asked are you willing to meet any offspring and what would you like to say to the family,. Those answers were so important to me! Beyond that, I impressed many friends and acquaintances when they thought that we would not have much info but I showed them or spoke about all the info I got. It was really reassuring and beneficial. I’m typing this as I rock my baby to sleep. She is half from a donor. I thank them so much!

I had my beautiful daughter in March 2020 and recently my son in March 2025. I used different donors and had a great experience with the process through Seattle sperm bank. I feel they have high quality options and my children are obviously amazing!!! I have also connected with 18 siblings to date through SSB connects, And I am looking forward to connecting with more siblings from my son’s donor. I couldn’t be more grateful for my children and having the option to be so selective with their donors. I was able to find donors with no genetic mutations, and carrying no recessive genes for any either. I couldn’t find one donor like that on any other site. Seattle Sperm Bank is the only place I would ever recommend for anyone looking for these services.
