Positive Surrogacy

Writing about a bad experience with Positive Surrogacy, basically a bait and switch. Around 2023 we were looking for a surrogate, and eventually found one with Positive Surrogacy. The process was basically they propose profiles, you show interest, they set up a meeting between you (parents) and surrogate to chat and set expectations, everything went fine. This is mostly free or a very modest fee. Then, once the "match" is official, the entire fee for the surrogacy agency is due, which was around 25,000, this should cover the entire journey, coordination with the surrogate, clinics, etc. Well, the match was formalized and paid for, a few weeks after we paid, the surrogate backed out due to personal reasons. The match was formalized end of November, 27 2023 and the surrogate backed out January 2024. This is where problems started. The agency then sent other profiles they felt were good enough, but folks need to understand that the surrogacy process is very personal and emotional, you can't just bait and switch. We kept asking if the original surrogate would become available again and got evasive answers, but 'hey, here are more profiles'. We want to work with surrogates we feel comfortable with, regardless of agency, we found none of them acceptable. We've been asking for a refund, they state that once the match is done, the fee is non refundable, which is understandable if the parents want to back out, or there are other major forces, but in this case, basically the match was undone weeks after being formalized and paid for, no work post match was done, ie, the surrogate had no medical procedures (legal contract with surrogate was pending psychological and medical clearance, which she never even scheduled), etc. It felt much of a bait and switch 'hey, here's an awesome surrogate', we match, pay and then 'oh, sorry, surrogate not available, but we keep the money'. As I said, they offered other surrogate profiles, but none came close to the one we had matched with. Other than finding surrogates and a matching call, the agency basically didn't do any other work for us.

I recently finished my first surrogacy through Positive Surrogacy in November and I feel confident and comfortable about recommending them to anyone considering being a surrogate! They worked hard to match me with the best intended parents and made the entire journey an experience to remember! Bernadette and Christine are AMAZING! ❤ They are the owners of this agency and both have been surrogates multiple times, so they know about all the facets of surrogacy (physical, mental, emotional) firsthand. They answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly, and have held my hand through the whole process! I am 3 hours away from their office, and they still supported me throughout my entire journey.

I decided a few years ago that I wanted to help someone have children that could not. I have any beautiful 7 year old and enjoy everyday with her and if someone does not have that and wants it, I wanted to help. Luckily after moving to California I met a woman who was just about to end her journey with Positive Surrogacy and she gave me the information. Long story short, the owners are amazing, helpful, caring and really go above and beyond to make you feel like a person not a number. The other surrogates are super friendly and help put you at ease and they give you a friendly face that understands even when others may doubt your decisions. I just gave birth in May 2018 and even though it did not go as I planned...I was able to give a handsome little healthy boy to his mommy and daddy. This was the best feeling in the world. I can not wait to do another journey with Positive Surrogacy. Thank you ladies for everything you do for us and helping provide the stepping stones for girls to change peoples lives for the better!!!

I came across this company by some random chance and boy am I glad I did. Before I made the decision to become a surrogate I naturally had a lot of questions. These ladies were so amazing and sweet and never made me feel pressured to commit. I did however decide to become surrogate and it was such an amazing experience. They were with me every step of the way. Anytime i had questions or concerns they were there to help and support me. I completed my first journey May, 17 2017 and am getting ready to start my second journey!

I just completed my first surrogacy journey 6 weeks ago, Christine and Bernadette are nothing short of amazing. Anytime I had a question they would answer the phone or email me back immediately, every step of the process was so smooth because of them. Both being prior surrogates they understand any questions or concerns you may have and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and happy. Christine and Bernadette take the time to make sure you are matched with a great family. I will always cherish this Surrogacy journey and the friends I made along the way. This company offers monthly support group where you get to chat with fellow surrogates about their journey which is great! I will be signing up for a second surrogacy journey with this company and look forward to working with them again.
