I am now paying $72 per month to store my reproductive materials. I found another vendor because I cannot afford to pay almost $1000 per year for this storage and they are still charging me $250 “handling fee” just to get my materials out of there. I had asked about annual billing to try to save costs and was told I would simply be charged 12 times on the monthly fee. They are holding people hostage and taking advantage of the lack of information around this. This is not what was initially quoted to me when I started the process. The fees have been raised multiple times. I would research and using a different vendor. The storage was recommended to me from Nashville fertility center. I did not know I had choices for storing my reproductive materials for less than half of this rate annually.

Conveniently not contracted with most major private insurances in Tennessee. Even if you have fertility coverage- Ovation expects the patient pay ahead of receiving any service by weeks/months, and then to do all the legwork to get reimbursed weeks/months later once services have been rendered. We chose our insurance to have fertility coverage. Poor business practices in a difficult specialty.

No problem with the clinic, but they outsource their billing. They keep changing the company that does the billing, and they keep increasing their monthly storage prices every time they change billing providers (or whenever they feel like increasing their prices). It is a bit shady given they have your frozen specimens and it is not easy to just transport them to a different storage facility/company. I would find a company that locks in a price and doesn't just significantly increase prices randomly.

During my egg retrieval and embryo transfer I felt very safe, and very heard by the crew at Ovation. I couldn’t imagine going through this experience anywhere else. I appreciate the doctors and nurses who have been a part of my journey and so supportive and patient with me.

I have had an amazing fertility journey so far with NFC but Ovation lab has been a headache with the billing. I received a bill for lab testing that should have been sent to an outside lab as I have Cigna insurance. There are literally signs posted inside the lab and still, I was charged. I reached out to the billing department and was told I would need to pay the balance if they ran the test even if it was their mistake. This is not the first time this has happened with them. I've had the testing done there before and every lab I've had has been sent to Quest except this one. This constant occurrences make me want to go to another fertility clinic. I would hate that because the providers are amazing. Update: I was told by the clinic that they can only offer a 15% discount after the mistake was made on their behalf. This is absolutely absurd and they take advantage of people with no accountability. Removing $22 is not a solution.
