Reviews
I continue to have the most wonderful experience at Kindbody! Cannot imagine going through IVF anywhere else. Houa, Celeste, Dr Balmir - every ultra sound tech I’ve ever had - top notch team through and through. I always feel so safe and supported let alone confident they are using the latest, state of the art tech and protocols. Would give ten stars if I could!
The staff has been pretty good with follow up and accommodating my schedule. Making appointments is easy and not scheduled out far. Rose, the financial advisor, was extremely informative and patient with all my questions. Ms. Morales is my fav phlebotomist! She’s personable and funny. Laura was also awesome at keeping me informed and pivoting when needed. My only note would be not so much reliance on messaging in the platform. Sometimes a call is needed to clarify things. Overall, a good experience so far!
My husband and I restarted our fertility journey here because they were in network with his insurance. Pursuing care here was a mistake, and we should've stopped going from the beginning because they have continued to be unresponsive during and after we stopped going. They told us we needed to do saline ultrasounds (they cost about $500 and I later found out is not a routine step in other fertility healthcare practices) and recommended an HSC (costs about $1500). I did that, only to do another follow up saline ultrasound where they identified that there was still tissue present. Then, after I kept strongly advocating to move onto IUI, I was told I still needed to do additional labwork and ultrasounds. It was a such a ridiculous journey. Kindbody does not respond in a professional, timely manner. I've also called the clinic many times and asked someone to call me back -- they never do. When I recently reached out to resolve some bills, I was told someone would reach out within 10 business days -- this is after months of them being unresponsive. Don't waste your time, hope, and money here.
Booked a consult during a promo month in 2024 and at the time of booking, I provided my card information to bill me directly as I was aware that my medical insurance does not cover fertility services. My appointment was rescheduled without warning to a different date and time without notice - I had to reach out to reschedule it to a different time as it was not aligning with my availability. The only reason I booked a consultation was because the website indicated that the facility had financial payment plan options. During and after my consult, I was informed that KindBody had no payment plans and everything needed to be paid at the time of service or 50% prior to service and the remaining due at the time of service. I decided not to move forward with KindBody. I was under the impression that my HSA that was provided had been charged the service already as stated at the time of booking. It has now been a year and a half after the initial appointment/consultation and I am being billed the full amount of the consult instead of the promo price at the time of booking. I tried to reach out to billing via the client portal and was told it would take 10-15 business days to "process my request". My request was then assigned to a new rep and then the "10-15 business days" renewed again. I called into KindBody's billing line and was in queue for over half an hour and never reached anyone and the call dropped. I called again and sat in queue again and this time opted to be called back at the specified time and never received a call back from anyone. I messaged the billing team again for a follow up and was told to basically wait because they were still within their 10-15 business day time frame. I allowed them another 2 weeks and checked again and this time my "request" was reassigned AGAIN to a 3rd rep. Thankfully this rep did respond within reasonable time (1-2 business days). She informed me that the service had been billed to my medical insurance instead of the card provided and even stated that she see's it is noted in their system to bill client directly. I was never given a reason why it was billed to my medical directly instead of to me as instructed and provided. AND if it was billed to my medical, I should have received a bill from my insurance since it was not a covered service. I never received that bill from my insurance either which leads me to believe that billing at KB was not doing their job and never billed me and didn't realize until a whole year and a half later. I am glad I did not move forward with KB - I can only imagine the nightmare my finances would be in right now if this is how they handle client's billings.
Words cannot express how wonderful our experience at Kindbody was. We had been working with a different clinic and decided it was time for a change. We found Kindbody and from the minute we walked in the door, we knew we found the right place. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful. The girls at the front desk, the nurses, our ultrasound techs, the specialists, and of course Dr Balmir, were kind and thoughtful and made our difficult journey just a little bit less difficult. They have great communication and we felt like we knew what was happening at every step along the way. They truly made a hard experience enjoyable. We currently have a six month old son and we owe it all to Kindbody. We could not recommend them enough.
