I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the severe difficulties I encountered while attempting to schedule an appointment at your office. The experience fell far below the standard of care and professionalism one expects, especially from a specialized medical practice requiring a patient referral. My first call resulted in a ten-minute hold to gather appointment information, only for the representative to claim they could not hear me and abruptly terminate the call without any attempt to troubleshoot or allow me to respond. This lack of basic courtesy was both frustrating and dismissive. Persisting, I called a second time and waited on hold for fifteen minutes. At the end of this wait, I was informed I would be transferred to another party who could assist. Instead, the call was disconnected during the transfer attempt. By my third call, I had invested nearly half an hour simply trying to reach a human being. At approximately 4:00 PM, the line switched to an after-hours answering machine, indicating the office had effectively ceased accepting calls well before the posted closing time. This suggests a systemic disregard for patients attempting to make contact in the final hour of operation. For a urology practice that requires patients to secure prior authorizations, this barrier to basic access is unacceptable. Patients contacting your office are often managing sensitive health concerns and deserve respect, patience, and reliable communication. The current process appears designed for staff convenience rather than patient care, creating an unnecessary and stressful obstacle to receiving necessary medical attention. I trust you will address these operational failures to ensure no other patient has a similarly discouraging experience.
