Reviews
This is the worst practice to ever go to or take your children to. There is no communication between staff members. One person says on thing and the other staff member says another. You call and they never answer the phones. Ive left several messages to have to manager call me with no return call. Staffs rude! Don’t waste your time.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with this fertility clinic was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We chose this practice mainly because it was more affordable than other options. When you’re trying to conceive, cost is a huge factor. Unfortunately, the lower price really showed in the level of organization and professionalism. The entire process was poorly explained from the start. Steps, timelines, and costs were never clearly laid out. Instead, information was given little by little, leaving us constantly confused about what the next step would be. Our first IUI attempt was chaotic. The clinic has a strange system where they prop the front door open with a magazine so the building stays unlocked. No one explained this to us. We dropped off the sample and left briefly as instructed. When we returned for the procedure, the building was completely locked and their phone line was off because it was the weekend. We were stuck outside for about an hour trying to get into the building for a time-sensitive procedure. By the time someone finally unlocked the door, there was no apology or acknowledgment of how unprofessional that situation was. That cycle failed, and while there could be many medical reasons for that, it’s hard not to question whether being delayed outside for an hour played a role. For the second attempt, we at least knew about the “magazine door” situation and were hopeful things would go more smoothly. Unfortunately, the doctor had double-booked himself. Even though we were given a specific time to arrive, the sample ended up sitting in the lobby for over 40 minutes while we waited. That cycle also failed. The office manager, Teresa, was another major issue. Instead of acknowledging the problems or apologizing for the repeated mishaps, she became defensive and rude whenever we raised concerns. She initially seemed pleasant, but after procedures she would make strange comments and her attitude could change very quickly. It felt very volatile and unprofessional. The exam bed used for the IUI procedures also seemed broken or unstable, making it difficult to stay positioned properly during the procedure. By the third attempt, we had learned the hard way not to rely on the clinic’s instructions. Even though they tell you to leave for 45 minutes to an hour after dropping off the sample, we stayed in the office to make sure we wouldn’t get locked out again. I also specifically confirmed the doctor wouldn’t be double-booked this time so the same situation as the second attempt wouldn’t happen. Thankfully there were no delays that time. Another frustrating experience involved billing and receipts. Teresa had previously told us to simply ask if we ever needed copies of receipts. However, when I asked for them during a visit for a blood draw after a positive test, she was extremely rude and complained that we were “treating them like trash.” Asking for basic documentation and expecting a reasonable level of organization when you’re paying for a medical service is not disrespectful specially when no disrespectful words were used besides stern requests to fulfill the basics of their care Yes, this clinic is cheaper than many fertility practices, but you truly get what you pay for. Even if the price is lower, patients still deserve professionalism, organization, and basic respect—especially when going through something as emotional and important as fertility treatment. I cannot recommend this practice unless you are extremely limited on options like we were. If you do go here, be prepared for disorganization and be cautious when dealing with the office manager Teresa, whose behavior was consistently rude and unprofessional.
What other doctors couldn’t achieve, Dr. Amesse made possible. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but his entire team was supportive, kind, and always quick to respond. I got pregnant so fast under his care, and I will forever be grateful for what he has done for my family.
This office is the best! The energy from the office staff is so calm and pleasant. The doctor is super personable and made the patient feel comfortable. We were so at ease in this office and we were really impressed!
My rating is very unfortunate as the experience with the doctor was great. The doctor himself is very compassionate and caring and seems to know exactly what needed to be done. However, the office front desk and staff seem to lack basic knowledge on how things actually work in the medical field. I’ve been back and forth with them for about 1 month trying to simply get a medication “ authorized “ from the doctor which would only be about a one minute phone call. Every time I call, they say the office manager Teresa is the one that handles “that” and she is not there, or that they would pass the message on. I’ve called over 15 times I would say and it’s the same excuse each time I call. I explained to them that the authorization is just a call into my insurance, and say “ yes , this is the medication and dosage prescribed to the patient”. It seemed to be rocket science to them. This has gone on for about 4 weeks. For those struggling in the fertility field, you can understand the frustration a patient can feel that the front desk just refuses to do a task that would take even the incompetent at least 5 minutes to complete. I included a direct line to the department and all of the details in the emails I’ve sent them as well so it would really require minimal effort. On the fertility journey, 1 month seems like 3 months ! Once I realized the type of incompetent staff the doctor had, I started to email instead so that I can have a documented record of all the times I’ve tried to reach out to them to complete this medication authorization. Even then, they just replied 2 times to an email and ignored the other 9 or so emails. Very unprofessional and to be honest if they cannot even do a basic medical insurance task, how can I trust them on a fertility journey? The medication would go from $350 to just $35 if they completed the authorization. I had to find a new clinic and doctor and request this medication be done through their office instead due to Dr Ammesse’s staff not being very compliant or knowledgeable. I will absolutely not be returning and urge others to not be fooled into dealing with a bunch of inexperienced office staff. Beware!
