She chose to see him, and I soon followed for my first ever IVF attempt. Needless to say, I am so grateful I did. Dr. Arnold and his clinic provided me with superlative care. He is that incredibly rare physician that is both clinically brilliant and enormously kind. Both are necessities for a treatment as nuanced and vulnerable as IVF. This unusual blend of intelligence/clinical competency and phenomenal bedside manner extends beyond just Dr. Arnold himself-- it is the ethos of every single member of his staff from his wife who works with him, to his receptionists, to his billing department, and phlebotomists. Each time I entered the lovely clinic, I was greeted with kindness, warmth, humanity, punctuality, patience and profound medical competency that made me feel safe, cared for and human. Even little details such as the way feminine products were displayed in the bathroom indicated to me a profound respect for patients and a desire for them to feel cared for. From my first appointment, it was clear this was not an average practice. I was ushered into a lovely and immaculate consultation room where Dr. Arnold proceeded to walk me through every single aspect of the process ahead, from details of my biology, to the expected outcome of the stimulation. There was no rushing, no sense that I needed to remain within a time slot, just patience, sensitivity, nuanced answers to every question I had, and a desire for me to feel heard and safe. Every single appointment that followed maintained this tone and expert level of care, including my interactions with the billing department, who helped me navigate a complex system. Dr. Arnold provided his personal cell phone number and replied promptly to any questions that came up for me throughout treatment, even on weekends and holidays. I cannot emphasize enough how this level of personal, concierge-level treatment is an absolute rarity in medicine today. This is a physician who deeply loves his work and prioritizes patient care and safety above all else. As the daughter of a medical family, I'm particularly attune to bedside manner and medical skill. Sadly, there are few doctors I've encountered who have mastered this rare alchemy, the most important ingredient of which is treating patients with sensitivity and humanity. This is one of the rare practices where you don't have to be in the defensive posture of being your own advocate at all times because there will be no better advocate for you than Dr. Arnold, himself. I would advise prospective patients to trust his judgment-- he has extreme skill in being both conservative enough to preserve your health and comfort, but aggressive enough to achieve and exceed the desired outcome. This nuanced approach is exactly what you want in something like egg retrieval, which I've learned is not an exact science. From a pure numbers standpoint, his approach also led to a phenomenal outcome for me after retrieval. Also, the nursing staff was exemplary! I've always struggled with bloodwork, but Jazmin, Dr. Arnold's phlebotomist, was the most skilled practitioner I've experienced. This made the frequent blood draws a non-issue. Also, the warmth and friendliness of the staff was so profound that I'm actually going to miss going into the office for my appointments! I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that Dr. Arnold and his clinic are extraordinary. They offer the highest standard of care, the most up-to-date research and innovation in the field, and are committed to treating every woman who walks in their door like a member of their own family.
