Reviews
I am leaving this review in hopes that it will reach the right personnel whom can help educate their staff on how a patient should be treated. I had a very negative experience, and that's a lot to say coming from someone who met with Dr. O'shaughnessy for 2 minutes. My problem began when I was having difficulty with their patient portal. I attempted to submit my documents various times, and the portal wasn't allowing me to complete a specific section although I had filled everything out. I had asked an employee for help and she recommended that I explain this to the doctor once I had logged onto the appointment. The day of my appointment I received a call from Claudia regarding the patient portal. I was at work unable to answer, so when it was time for my appointment I called the clinic as I didn't have the zoom link to join. The first thing Claudia said was, "I called you this morning regarding your patient portal as you haven't completed it, and we needed this done prior to the appointment." I tried explaining my situation in which I kept getting interrupted. She finally sent me the link. Once I hopped on the call with the Doctor it was even worse. This "Doctor" treated me as if I was stupid and ALSO kept interrupting me when I tried explaining my portal situation. She said, "Welp I guess were just going to have to spend a lot time going through your history then." AGAIN, I tried explaining that I had trouble with the portal and she said "That doesn't matter anymore, it shows you didn't do anything on our end which means we have to spend more time asking you questions." Anyways, I let her know that I did not want to complete this appointment as the staff had treated me very poorly. This was not the right way to handle this situation. I hope for other patients sake that they are treated much better. The fertility process is already such a difficult and draining process without having been treated this way. Thanks!
Our experience with this IVF clinic in 2022 was honestly heartbreaking and frustrating from start to finish. What was supposed to be a hopeful journey turned into months of stress and disappointment because of mistake after mistake. We had to delay our entire start by a month due to billing and insurance issues that should have been handled long before our cycle began. Then I had to go in four different times just to get the same blood work drawn correctly. Every visit felt like another setback when time and energy already felt so precious. To make things worse, I was sent the wrong list of medications by the nurse. I only realized the mistake after researching the medications myself, which is terrifying when you’re putting your trust and future in the hands of a medical team. And the most painful moment of all came when I received a call to confirm a Doppler appointment after we had already been told that our IVF had failed. It felt like no one was paying attention or communicating, and it added insult to an already devastating outcome. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. IVF is emotional enough without having to double check your own medical care and chase down basic communication. I truly hope this clinic has made serious changes since then, because what we went through was unacceptable.
Overall great experience doing IVF with Conceptions/RMA this past year! My husband and I both work in healthcare and have realistic expectations of what the system can and cannot do for us. The staff was communicative and kind, and the general operations were predictable and smooth. Dr. O is a straight shooter and was able provide her recommendations to "what would you do if you were my shoes" questions. There were a couple of moments where I felt like I had to do more messaging to clarify or correct appointment scheduling or timelines that I think someone with less health system literacy would have struggled with more. But I trust their experience, their embryology program, and will be coming back for our future embryo transfers!
We are so thankful to the staff and doctors at Conceptions! We worked with Dr.Greene and are now expecting our baby in June 2025. From the very beginning we knew it would be a long process and everyone was so kind and supportive throughout the whole thing. We asked all of our questions and never got shut out. The messaging system with our nurses was the best when I needed something answered right away. I want to specifically shout out the ultrasound nurses at the Lafayette office for making me always feel comfortable and safe. Our IVF miracle, my husband, & I are so grateful to you all.
We’ve had the best experience here. Dr. Chiang is amazing, very compassionate and good at her job. She has steered us on the right path and supported what we also wanted to do each time. Before coming here we had 4 natural pregnancies and 4 miscarriages (I have Diminishing Ovarian Reserve as well). Our first IVF we got 3 viable embryos and our second transfer did make us parents to our amazing baby girl. We are gearing up for another IVF round to hopefully get another embryo or 2 before I turn 40 and so we can give our little girl a sibling. The nurse are also extremely amazing here just all around!
