Dr. Michael Doody was recommended by 3 of my close friends. All of them had seen him for various fertility related issues. I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with someone who advised they would send the documentation via email, once the documentation was completed it would auto-return to the office and they would call me within 48 hours to schedule for the earliest appointment which was in early April. Two weeks later, still no call, I had been trying to get in touch with the office without result. Week 3 I finally reached someone, notified them I had returned my paperwork promptly the day received and had not received a call. They said the next available appointment was now the middle of May. Being in the midst of a fertility struggle I started crying, asked to speak to the manager, explained the situation and why I was frustrated since I had performed as asked. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the May appointment was it if I wanted to be seen. I agreed to hold my spot while looking for other fertility clinics in the mean time. May finally roles around, I had forgotten I even scheduled the appointment. I get a call on the day of the appointment at 12:57pm to remind me that I have a telemed appointment at 1:00pm. The doctor gets on the telemed appointment, we start to discuss the reason for my consultation, cuts me off in under 7 minutes, he doesn't even give possible options just says "I don't think I can help you, if you are having miscarriages you can obviously get pregnant on your own, why spend the money. Ends the call. Almost 8 weeks later I get a bill for over $200 for this "telemed appointment" which was really a rejection to even be bothered with me. If you aren't looking to do a big surgery for endometriosis or IVF they don't want to be bothered... or that's how I was made to feel. I honestly don't feel I should pay a dime to someone who was so dismissive towards 3 early pregnancy losses. Not even willing to run bloodwork, no effort at all.
