I had a very strange and bizarre interaction with one of their doctors, Dr. Sheila Ramgopal before I even came in. I scheduled an appointment for Thursday with Dr. Ramgopal at 8am. Joy an office rep contacted me 2 days before my appointment and asked me to change it to 9am. Since that is cutting it too close to when I have to go into work I decided to make it virtual instead. Joy said that works perfectly. Then Joy called me 30 minutes later and said Dr. Ramgopal asked if I could meet at 5pm today instead. I said that is too last minute for me and I'm not feeling well. I asked if I could just keep my virtual appt at 9am on Thursday instead. Joy said it's okay but Dr. Ramgopal might be driving during my appointment. I said that's not okay I asked to just schedule it to a different day. Joy offered me 8am virtual on Friday. I politely expressed frustration at the multiple last minute scheduling changes. I made a point to say to Joy "I know it's not your fault but this is really frustrating". Joy validated my frustration and made sure to confirm that the doctor wouldn't be driving during my 8am virtual appointment on Friday and the call ended. About 30 minutes later Dr. Ramgopal called me. They listened to my call with their staff. "You know calls are recorded" they emphasized. They talked about how they hurt their knee and that's why the schedule had changed. Something that was not communicated to me prior. They wanted to make sure there was "mutual trust" between us and "it seemed like I had issues" and that "doctors are humans too" and "you know you don't have to work with me" This was very bizarre and unprofessional. That because I expressed frustration in a very polite way about multiple last minute schedule changes that I somehow don't deserve care from them. The fact that they took time out of their day to listen to my call and essentially lecture me for expressing valid frustration was very strange. (aren't calls recorded for the purpose of quality assurance on the employees side? not to call patients back and lecture them?) Because of this interaction, I decided to cancel and look for care elsewhere. Their attitude and lack of professional communication made me feel uncomfortable and I am grateful I dodged care with this doctor. Now reading through the other reviews of what patients went through I am more affirmed in my decision not to continue care with this place.
This morning, Dr Sheila freed me from the estrogen prison and pain I’ve been dealing with for almost 20 years I had a full hysterectomy - not only was this medically necessary due to chronic pain for years, but it’s been a lifetime dream to feel more like a man Dr Sheila is the best damn doctor I’ve ever had - I wish they could be my pcp They’re very understanding, compassionate and caring, and they don’t bullshit with your health and well being like most doctors do They even held my hand as I was being put to sleep Thanks for everything Dr Sheila 🥰 I’m beyond words grateful
An amazing, compassionate group of humans work as a real team here. Seriously though, these people eat sunshine soup for breakfast. Supportive and positive vibes from the moment right before you even walk in the door all the way through until you walk out. Jess, Amy, Rebecca, plus everyone else whose names I can’t remember like the greeters outside the door on the sidewalk, the security guard, the person working the front desk, the counselor, and all the assistants and nurses in the back. Every single person working here was welcoming, comforting, kind, positive, compassionate, and supportive. I really was not expecting such a great experience. You really feel at peace and well cared for here. Thank you for treating your patients with such kindness. You make a difference. **I’m going to write this here because many people searching Google might not know that this is also a place where you can make an appointment just to get an IUD placed under sedation. I know that most gyne doctors prefer to place them in office but give zero pain medication and zero local anesthetic. Let’s be real, men would get knocked out for this.
The staff is so so amazing from start to finish, from front door to back room. They make you laugh they keep soft music playing and just overall are completely amazing. As women we have it hard making certain decisions and the staff here makes it so much more bearable and they’re so helpful! Amazing people ! It’s also very clean and the wait isn’t horrible
Don’t go here if you are a trans man. Took me about a month of calling to finally talk to a person and schedule an appointment. They told me they would call me between 6-10PM about a month later and from there I would get a zoom link to start the appointment. I filled out my pre-registration forms the day before, and I waited at home the whole four hours my appointment. They never called me. After months of waiting for this appointment I desperately need, I was totally ghosted. Every time I tried to call they were so confused that I had a deep voice but needed female reproductive help. They aren’t even open during that 6-10PM window so I guess they are just trying to get me to give up and stop trying to be seen by them. Super frustrating, but this usually happens to trans men seeking reproductive help so not surprising. Just even more disappointed that it’s from somewhere that claims to be lgbt friendly.
