Underwent IUI x3. Called in to notify of start of menstrual period each time with recs to reschedule next procedure, yet the nurse and providers looking over my chart for each prior didn’t look at my data to learn my periods were all starting too early. Learned from one appointment at an alternative location who caught this knowing most likely reason was due to low progesterone level. Sure enough progesterone has been chronically low, not sustainable with carrying a baby. Ive been on progesterone supplements since. I waisted time, over $2000, and emotional energy at Generations

The psychologist/psychiatrist told me that I tried to hang myself years ago when I never did. But what really bothered me is the way she said it. She said it within the first few minutes of the consultation, like she just couldn't wait to say it. It would be nice to build at least a little rapport before bringing up a sensitive topic. She also said it in a very harsh and ungentle manner. I go to school for psychology and I have communicated with many people in the psych/mental health field, and I was appalled by the way she spoke to me and treated me. I HAVE suffered from depression throughout my life, which I, nor anyone else, should ever have to feel ashamed of. No one should ever have to walk out of any psych appointment feeling the way I did. Furthermore, when someone is at a psych appointment at a fertility clinic, sensitivity should be especially emphasized, because it means that the clients/patients have likely been desperate to conceive children for quite some time, in my case over 10 years, which is painful enough as it is. No one wants their psychiatric history being another reason they cannot conceive. It's great that you want to make sure people are mentally stable and well before helping them conceive, but it could and should be conducted in a much more gentle manner. Furthermore, immediately after sitting up from receiving an HSG by a P.A., I was told I have numerous polyps and that one of my fallopian tubes need to come out, in a pretty harsh manner as well. Not much bedside manner. After receiving care from a different clinic, I have found that to be untrue. Both of my tubes are fine and no polyps or anything else. A week after that, I received a phone call from the doctor after he looked at the HSG results. He told me I had a bunch of "something" going on inside of me, but he didn't know what, whether it was polyps or something else, he did not know, but he made it sound like it was a very extreme and unusual case, like he had never seen anything like it before. The conversation was extremely unclear but also scary. He mentioned how he didn't think it was cancer numerous times, which actually made me worry about cancer when I never even had in the past, because he kept saying the word, and it almost sounded like he was trying to reassure himself that it wasn't cancer. He was also eating during the short phone call. Again, I don't have a single polyp or growth or anything. I also found the communication to be poor throughout my entire experience there. I recommend that you do not go to Generations, and if you do, I hope it's a much better experience than mine was.

As others mentioned, there are scheduling issues at Generations. We had a consultation scheduled for January that we set up in October. It has been rescheduled and pushed back multiple times including on the day before our appointment. Very unprofessional! Edit: The phone number that Generations commented on my review, I wait on hold for 5-10 mins then get sent to voicemail. Really bad customer service!

I haven’t even had my appointment yet and already I am appalled at the treatment I have received. I scheduled my appointment over three months ago and the soonest they could take me was this coming Friday. After a long wait, I received a call last week confirming my appointment. Yesterday, just four days before my appointment. I received another call stating that the provider is out of office all week and they need to reschedule. I now have to wait another three months to be seen. This in and of itself is absolutely absurd. They messed, they need to fix it. I should not have to wait another 3 months for their screw up. I am looking into other options because the way that I was spoken to on the phone when I voiced my frustrations was unforgivable. I asked how I know that my appointment will actually happen this time and all they could say was “I know it’s frustrating.” This is not only frustrating but infuriating, I am worried about being seen by them considering the experience I’ve had before even stepping foot in the building. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you can.

I highly recommend this clinic. From the very beginning Jasmin Barthel has been AMAZING. She is not too pushy and I honestly feel like for the first time going to a Fertility clinic I am actually getting listened to. I’ve gone to 2 other clinics and I felt so uncomfortable and pressured. At Generations Fertility there is no pressure! I drive 1.5 hours to this clinic and it is WORTH the drive! Staff is amazing and truly care about you.
