Reviews
I truly appreciate Dr. Cho and Jaycie for all the support, coordination, and care throughout my IVF journey. After having an extremely stressful and disappointing experience at POMA, working with the team at SRM was a completely different experience. Everyone at SRM was professional, friendly, transparent, and supportive through every single step of the process. IVF can be emotionally overwhelming, but the team made us feel confident, informed, and genuinely cared for the entire time. We always felt we were in good hands, which gave both me and my family so much peace of mind. Today, we are officially graduating from IVF, and we are incredibly grateful for everything the SRM team has done for us. We will definitely come back again when we are ready for our second baby. Thank you so much for helping us grow our family!
Extremely disappointed with SRM Fertility Clinic. Despite clearly requesting all necessary tests before transferring my last two embryos, the doctor failed to do basic due diligence and missed critical TSH testing. My embryos failed to implant, and only later did reports show my TSH was dangerously high at 5.8, a level at which implantation should never be attempted. SRM drained 3.5 years of my money, emotions, and time, and gave me nothing but negligence and heartbreak—I would never recommend SRM for IVF treatment.
I promised myself I'd write a review because of how frustrated I was at times with this clinic. Having said that, the process went well overall and my care team, Dr Akhil Shah and Jaycie, as well as the staff at the clinic, were all very nice and professional. My frustrations all had to do with poor communication, which for the most part happened with the portal website and documents distributed to me from there. I expressed multiple times that I needed to plan my work schedule a month in advance, and that my work takes me away for days at a time, yet they continued to trickle feed me information and never gave me an overall plan and timeline. The information I was provided was also confused by a mix of generic information and information specific to me. The generic info was not clearly delineated as being not applicable to me and was only misleading. I was also provided with information documents that were duplicates or near duplicates of each other but slightly different. Relatively quickly my portal was crammed with a barrage of documents, with no method to which of three places they were put, and given confusing document names so I had to open each one to tell what it was about. It was a nightmare to search for information I'd previously been provided. I never was given a calendar plan more than a couple weeks out. I understand that there are a lot of unknowns, but its better to deviate from a plan than to have no plan at all! I had to rework my work schedule three times, and one of those times I completely misunderstood what I was doing the next month, only a week in advance. It was needlessly stressful and confusing. You have to get some procedures done at the Seattle clinic, and I only once saw my doc in person. The Seattle clinic was also a bit frustrating as there are multiple waiting rooms, I had checked into the wrong one but reception noted nothing about it and I didn't know until I got a call (from the other reception) asking if I was coming in for my appointment. Apparently they couldn't see that I was checked in at the other room. Also, they should make it easier to buzz into the building on the weekends with a call button, because again I had to find the door code in my portal mess of documents. At the Kirkland clinic, I had some communication issues as well. One time waiting in the wrong room, as I hadn't been instructed that I should leave. Another time waiting in the lobby for a blood test it turned out I didn't need. I witnessed that one woman had left without getting a blood test and the staff was looking for her, I'm sure she had not been informed she needed one. As far as IVF, I think it's ridiculous that women are expected to self administer hormone shots at home. Each shot has a different administration system, I was given an actual sharps dispenser, and had no help from the clinic aside from some online how-to videos. I almost passed out the first time from the stress. When I complained about this process to my nurse navigator she reminded me that the hormones make you moody! (I was pissed about this before starting hormones thank you). The whole process was downplayed by the clinic.
Had a really good experience here. I went to the wrong location (my mistake) and they still found a way to get me in which was incredibly helpful! I was impressed!
The clinic is hands-down the best medical experience I've had in my life. For starters, they are EXTREMELY punctual. I rarely waited more than 1-2 minutes when I arrived on time for an appointment. Next, ALL the staff are extremely warm, caring, and helpful. Our doctor, Michele Cho, was personable, knowledgeable, and because of her guidance we are now expecting a baby boy! Our nurse, Grace Hallas, was my primary contact during the entire process of our working with SRM...I must have called and/or emailed her a hundred times throughout the course of our treatment. She was SO caring, compassionate, quick to respond and help with anything and everything I had questions about. The financial counselor, Robin, is amazing too - she was a tremendous help to us in navigating the intricacies of our insurance plan. I just can't say enough good things about the staff and experience we had at SRM Kirkland! We are eternally grateful to the whole team there for helping us realize our dream of having a family!!
