Blue Sky Fertility – Lee’s Summit

My husband and I endured nine years of infertility struggles. After exhausting other clinics and doctors in Illinois and Kansas without success, we decided to try this clinic. We were hopeful and optimistic, but as we progressed, the staff’s organization, rudeness, lack of transparency, and failure to understand our case became increasingly concerning. We would complete tests, only to receive an email a day later requesting us to schedule the tests we had just completed. It felt like we were mere numbers in a system, rushed through each appointment. Video appointments were often delayed and brief, as if the doctor was eager to move on to his next patient. During our first appointment, they had to draw nine vials of my blood, which triggered a vasovagal episode. I had a separate appointment for an HSG and was advised to take an antibiotic (that I was allergic to) for three days, along with two Tylenol three hours before my appointment. Surprisingly, I was also told I could drive myself home afterward. However, the experience was far from pleasant. The HSG was the most painful procedure I’ve ever endured. I screamed through it and was promptly walked out by staff through a separate door straight to the parking lot. I had to sit in the parking lot for well over 30 minutes to process and recollect myself. I wish they had put me under anesthesia for this specific procedure. Although I experienced some bleeding, it wasn’t severe enough to them to warrant further treatment. We were told our only options were to seek treatment at KU with a different doctor or do donor sperm and IVF. We had already sought previous treatment at KU and were advised to go to this fertility clinic. We felt doctors were just bouncing us around and not willing to figure out our real infertility issues. Furthermore, there were inconsistencies in testing and procedure costs due to the staff’s lack of knowledge. These issues, coupled with the overall poor experiences we had, led my husband and me to discontinue treatment at this clinic. We are now happily driving 6 hours north for fertility treatment at Mayo Clinic.

After giving me hope that they'd help with pregnancy, they denied treatment because of my BMI. They only go by height and weight, no exceptions for weightlifting or body building. I'm sorry I ever gave them a dime of my money. These people are not here to help you through your pregnancy struggles.

Blue sky's will not see or even try to give care to anyone with a BMI 39 or higher. and when asked why they were not very polite about it and made me feel even worse about myself then i already did for having to go see an infertility specialist

Literally the best people. Love the receptionists, nurses and Dr. Riggs! Going through this process is hard enough and they do an excellent job of making you feel comfortable and heard. Truly blessed that they helped us start our family. 1000000% recommend!

Whoever Aubrey is that handles who is approved/denied to be an egg donor, is not friendly. I reached out to her with questions and she completely avoided what I said and just told me I was denied. I was just an egg donor a few months ago with another company and don't have any reasons to be denied, but the online application said everything was great and then she texted denying me - without explanation. Definitely don't recommend this company! I will make the 3 hour drive to go somewhere that takes care of their patients.
