Ovation Fertility Las Vegas

Stored embryos here. After a lot of thought and years paying storage fees and counseling I decided discarding my embryos was the best move. It was a very painful decision to make. I emailed and called them in early Feb and it took 2 months for them to simply send me the discard form. I emailed them at least 25 times and called at least 15 times, sometimes waiting upwards of 2 hours on hold. It took me getting a lawyer to get the discard form. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I had a good experience and would recommend them to anyone needing fertility treatment. The lab was successful for me.

Please do not use this clinic. My experience with this facility has been extremely disappointing. I called for a procedure and was given inaccurate information. This lead me to schedule a visit and at that time of my procedure I was not informed of any other fees. After about a month I got a bill for thousands over what I was told. When I called to ask them what the extra costs were they were not able to tell me why and told me they couldn't do anything about it. So I was stuck paying thousands over what I was told. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!

Well, that will not be easy for me to write. My experience with ovation lab was not great. In Feb 2020 I had my 1st retrieval, I got 6 embryos and had them PGT-A tested. 3 embryos had a result (one was abnormal so we donated it for research) and 3 other had result (“no amplification”). They asked for consent to thaw for a second biopsy, we gave it, and all 3 died in the thaw process. It broke my heart. I cried for 3 days straight. They emailed it to me with zero sensitivity as to how this news would impact the mental state of the patient. Therefore, we decided to have another egg retrieval cycle before the transfer. Again we got 3 embryos but one was abnormal so we were left with 2 normal. That makes it 4 embryos total. The first transfer was successful and i am grateful to have a son. Now, the past three months I’ve been going through more procedures and testing and injections for another frozen embryo transfer cycle. The day of the transfer came, I was so excited. The excitement quickly vanished and was sadly replaced by shock and frustration. Long story short - all three of my frozen embryos died one by one in the thaw process. Given that my embryos were fertilized from eggs that were retrieved from me when I was 25 (quite young for IVF), and that their grading was 5bb (quite average, not low), and that according to google 95% of embryos thaw successfully - I do not understand how this had happened. How did three of my embryos die? It makes no sense to me. The doctor explained to me that it is a risk, this is something that happens. I understand that it happens. But 6 dead embryos sounds fishy to me. It’s just not making sense. I am almost certain that it was due to human error during the freezing/thawing process and not that “it just happens sometimes.” The lab got their payment from us anyway, $5,400 for each retrieval cycle (we had two), ~$7000 for genetic testing of 9 embryos, $800 for each transfer cycle (had two), and $50 monthly storage payment. The money is gone, the embryos are gone, I am left with a heartache and no logical explanation. If you can choose a fertility lab to work with when undergoing IVF, try to avoid this one. I was generous and gave two stars because they did work on fertilizing, storing and thawing our embryos, and i do have a son partially thanks to this lab. But my overall experience was more upsetting and disappointing than happy.
