American Surrogacy

I completed a journey with American surrogacy as a surrogate. I reached out to them (the first agency I explored) in December of 2023 and was met with very kind and helpful people who explained the process thoroughly with no pressure to proceed. I didn’t look into any other agencies and proceeded with American. I was a little nervous since they’re somewhat new to surrogacy and a smaller agency, but that worked out perfectly because it felt very personable. They stayed in contact with me regularly during the beginning steps (hospital took forever to get them my records) and I always got a very quick response regardless of who I reached out to with questions. It took a couple months to match because of some of my requests which they told me could delay a match. They somehow matched me with the best humans in the world in October of 2024. I ended up changing coordinators three times throughout my journey which isn’t ideal but out of everyone’s control and the transitions were pretty smooth for the most part. I never had a problem getting in touch with any of them and if I had a question or something that needed done they were quick to jump in and take care of it. Once the pregnancy was confirmed I did not hear from them as much as I expected I would, but the Intended mom and I talked literally every day so I imagine there was just no need for them to check in with me very often. Again, they were always available to me and I honestly appreciated the space, it felt as if they trusted me to do my thing. They took care of all of the legalities and travel, explained everything every step and made sure everything was lined up from start to finish. I didn’t have to worry about any of the details and got to just enjoy the journey and baby. I felt supported with gifts and check ins for the birth (Nov 2025) as well. I had zero problems with this agency and would use them again if I ever decide to be a GC again.

American Surrogacy is an incredible agency that gave us hope during some of the darkest times of our lives. We began pursuing surrogacy after our reproductive endocrinologist recommended we do so because of multiple late miscarriages of genetically normal embryos. We were consumed with unrelenting anxiety that we would never have children. American Surrogacy helped assuage those fears with data and incredibly fast match times. Our surrogate was exactly what we needed and truly one of the most incredible people I have ever met. Most importantly for many looking into surrogacy, we have a living child. We remain in contact with our carrier and regularly keep her updated on our daughter's life and the unbelievable impact she made on our lives. Procedurally, American Surrogacy makes everything easy by having a good cohort of lawyers, escrow agencies, and other actors in the more "business" side of this journey readily available, so you don't need to do any heavy lifting on your end when you are already overwhelmed by grief and anxiety in this process.
